That’s a wrap on the Annual 2024 Styles 4 Kidz Fall Gala! We were able to host this amazing event at The Nineteenth Century Charitable Association on November 2, 2024 with (#) attendees that helped empower transracial adoptive and foster families by donating to Styles 4 Kidz to ensure that we can provide essential haircare services for children. We were also able to review the remarkable year of 2024 for Styles 4 Kidz, highlight some hard workers, and give our attendees the opportunity to listen to the testimonies of those who were impacted by Styles 4 Kidz. Our first interview was captured by Andrea, a member of the board who has helped organize and has attended multiple Galas in the past.
“You think when you plan an event, you know everything that is going to happen and nothing will really be able to surprise you but I was really moved by seeing all the other families there, speakers, seeing what they had to say. I just kind of had a moment.” She went on to say, “As a board member, I knew what we were supposed to do and what our goals were for fundraising, but as a parent I was still very moved by being around other parents and supporters.”
While Andrea was able to provide you with an inside look into the perspective of someone who helped organize the event, Jill, a newer addition to the Parent Advocacy Group and a first-time gala attendee will offer a heartwarming account of her experience, highlighting the event’s impact on the community.
“It was cool to see just all the different people that were in support of the mission, I guess I would say, and then hearing the updates on everything that they’ve got planning for the upcoming hair show event. I enjoyed meeting Michaela, she was one of the speakers, she happens to know someone else in the adoption world that I know. So it was fun to make that connection.”
The Annual 2024 Styles 4 Kidz gala was a resounding success.
